ABSTRACT

During the 1986 season, FMC conducted aerial application studies with Capture®2.OEC insecticide/miticide to evaluate its performance on spider mite, Lygus spp. and Heliothis spp., populations using varioui application techniques. Capture is FMC's trademark for a broad spectrum product which contains bifenthrin. These techniques included: (1) ULV vegetable oil applications at 0.25 gallon/acre delivery volume; (2) conventional water sprays at 2 gallons/acre delivery volume and (3) an oil/water mixture applied at 1 gallon/acre delivery volume. Ammo 2.5EC insecticide, containing cypermethrin as its active ingredient, was used as a standard Heliothis spp. material applied in a conventional water spray at 2 gallons/acre delivery volume.
