Savey: A New Cotton Miticide

Frederick W. Marmor

ABSTRACT

"Savey" (DPX-Y5893), which contains the active ingredient hexythiazox, has exhibited excellent activity against Tetranychus spp. including T. urticae, T. turkestani and T. pacificus in laboratory and field studies. Studies have demonstrated that the activity of hexythiazox is effective both as a contact an residual ovicide with effects lasting up to 45 day at rates of 2-4 oz. ai/acre.
