The New Case International Model 1822 Cotton Picker: Another Breakthrough in Productivity

Gary L. Wells

ABSTRACT

It was just a year ago this week at the 1985 BELTWIDE COTTON PRODUCTION CONFERENCE in New Orleans that Case IH made the first public introduction of the new Case IH Model 1844 4-Row Cotton Picker. This machine made history as the first, and up to now, the only, cotton picker with a vertical lift powered metering basket unloading system. No doubt most cotton growers have by now seen this machine or at least read articles about it and how it has revolutionized cotton harvesting in the 4-row market segment.
