ASANA(TM) Insecticide is a new synthetic pyrethroid developed by Shell. In 1985, ASANA XL was compared to selected commercial pyrethroids for insect control in cotton. Several large demonstration plots were strategically located across the cotton belt. Data generated from these plots showed ASANA XL, at proposed labelled rates, resulted in excellent control of major cotton insect pests.

ASANA will be commercially available for use in cotton during the 1986 season.
