Program Objectives
The Multi-Commodity Education Program provides current and emerging producer leaders with:
- an opportunity to meet their counterparts in other geographic regions to gain a better understanding, through first hand observation and discussion, of agronomic practices, technology utilization, cropping patterns, marketing plans, and operational structure.
- a better understanding of production issues and concerns faced by their peers in other geographic regions;

a keener awareness of how agriculture, conservation and trade policy impacts agriculture at the local level;

tours of research facilities, processing operations and other facilities of interest and relevance to local economies;

meetings with many of the top producer leaders in U.S. agriculture and;

an opportunity to establish stronger working relationships with major corporations which strive to foster a healthy US agriculture.
