Multi-Commodity Education Program
Welcome to the Multi-Commodity Education Program

The Multi-Commodity Education Program is the first of its kind in US agriculture -- designed to strengthen communications between farmers regardless of their crop mix or the location of their operation. Several major commodity organizations collaborate to select participants and plan program activities. The program is funded by John Deere and Monsanto through a grant to the Cotton Foundation and is managed by the National Cotton Council.

The program was launched in 2006 when a group of producers from Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, North Dakota and Oklahoma participated in a series of farm tours and meetings in North Carolina. In 2007, producers from Arizona, California, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas toured farms and agribusinesses in North Dakota and Minnesota.

In 2008, National commodity organizations representing corn, wheat, oilseeds and small grains will be formally invited to select participants. Participants will include producers, sponsors, key association staff and ag media. We look forward to working with your association in this effort.
