Fifty-eight manuscripts representing eight of nine disciplines were submitted in 2011. A summary of the action taken on these manuscripts by discipline is provided in Table 1. The acceptance rate for manuscripts for which a decision has been made is 54.5%. In 2011, 37 manuscripts were published in the Journal of Cotton Science. Distribution of published manuscripts by discipline was as follows: Agronomy and Soil – 6; Arthropod Management – 3; Breeding and Genetics – 5; Economics and Marketing – 2; Engineering and Ginning – 11; Molecular Biology and Physiology – 3; Plant Pathology and Nematology – 1; Textile Technology – 5; Weed Science – 1; and Editorial Notes – 1.
