ABSTRACT

Data on micronaire, fiber maturity, and fiber perimeter from both the FMT III and arealometer are presented. Relative differences in the data between instruments was not consistent. Furthermore, the data suggested a positive correlation between micronaire and maturity and a negative correlation between these two characteristics and fiber perimeter.
