PROBLEMS WITH MILL PROCESSING OF SPECIALTY COTTONS

Joe Matthews Rees

ABSTRACT

As populations increase, our world is shrinking. Each person affects the other in the amount of waste created and, therefore, ultimately requiring disposal. One area coming under the eye of scrutiny is textiles. Various companies are striving to develop eco-pure clothing as one answer to this need. One possible avenue to improve the environmental impact is the use of organic cotton. More preliminary work is required before organic cotton will drive the environmental clothing market.
