Soil Moisture Levels in Drip Irrigated Cotton

ABSTRACT

Limited water resources and the ever increasing cost of energy mandate efficient irrigation practices. Growers have made progress with traditional furrow irrigation. Laser leveling has improved irrigation efficiency markedly. Newly developed drip irrigation technology may also hold promise for efficient cotton production. In Arizona, some growers have begun to install drip systems on limited acreage.
