ABSTRACT

The use of Pix on cotton grown on 30 inch rows has resulted in increased yields in every comparison. Both rates of Pix and timing of application were studied. One-half pint and one pint were applied according to label timing; one-half pint and one pint were applied after label timing (from 8 to 21 days depending on the test location); and a split application of one-half pint at label and one-half pint after label was applied. An untreated control was used for comparison.

Five of the six tests in 1985 gave significant increases in yields due to treatments. Results of these and tests conducted in 1984 on 30 inch cotton show that there is an advantage to including Pix in narrow row production.
