Assessing the Potential for Gin-Direct Cotton Shipments

ABSTRACT

The nature and implications of shipping cotton direct from gins to textile mills and ports are discussed. Results of a survey detailing the present extent of gin-direct shipments are presented, in addition to an analysis of future prospects and potentials for such movements.
