Treatment Thresholds for Cotton Insect Pests

W.R. Lambert

ABSTRACT

Ideally, we would only spray when the losses to pest threatened to exceed the cost of control. But many other factors enter into this decision. Treatment thresholds serve as a reference point from which we begin the decision making process. They are not absolute; some aspects will be refined through research; others will always depend on judgment based on experience.
