ABSTRACT

The animal model was used to compare the pulmonary reaction to endotoxin from Enterobacter agglomerans with that to cotton dust. Both materials elicited a response characterized as reflex restriction. However, airflow obstruction was also noted following cotton dust inhalation but not following endotoxin exposure.
