Prosoil™ and Paraplow® Technical Solutions to Surface and Subsurface Soil Problems

Michael Tysowsky

ABSTRACT

Conventional moldboard plows destroy soil structure and promote erosion. Large tractors and multiple trips over fields with heavy farm equipment contribute to soil compaction, inhibition of plant root development and water adsorption.

Problems with compacted, heavy or marginal soils can be overcome with the PARAPLOW, a unique piece of tillage equipment that fractures soil along natural lines of weakness, leaving the surface undisturbed. Use of the PARAPLOW has resulted in loosening of the soil, restoration of the soils continuous pore system to drain away excess water and healthier root development.

PROSOIL combines state-of-the-art chemical and equipment technology into a management approach for soil preparation and conditioning, as well as effective weed, grass and insect control in conservation tillage farming.
