The Regional Fusarium Wilt Test

W. Gazaway

ABSTRACT

Since the late 1940's, the Regional Fusarium Wilt Trials near Tallassee, AL have successfully screened cotton cultivars for Fusarium Wilt resistance. Over the years, problems have developed. A Fusarium Wilt Advisory Committee was established in late 1994 to deal with these problems and recommend ways to improve the Fusarium Wilt program. Test sites were assayed for cotton parasitic nematodes and for Fusarium Wilt distribution in 1993. Other key changes in the program are anticipated in the near future.
