The evolution of High Volume Instrument (HVI) testing has been the most significant development in the cotton industry in the past thirty years. By providing a fast, accurate and consistent cotton quality measurement, HVI technology has allowed mills to manage cotton more effectively. This paper will explain the use of high volume data by mills using the Engineered Fiber Selection(^®) Cotton Fiber Management System.
