TRISERT®-CB (26-0-0-0.5b) Fertilizer - Solution as a Carrier for Insecticides

ABSTRACT

Trisert(®)-CB (26-0-0-0.5B) fertilizer solution was evaluated for compatibility with seven cotton insecticides, compared with urea solution for compatibility and evaluated under field conditions in combination with Karate(®) 1 EC or Guthion(®) 2L.

Laboratory results show that liquid insecticides when mixed with Trisert(®)-CB solution will separate but the mixture remains stable with a minimum of agitation. The separation time for Karate(®)-Trisert(®)-CB solution mixtures was significantly longer than for Karate(®)-urea solution mixtures.

Field results indicate that by using Trisert(®)-CB as an additive for low volume ground or as a carrier for aerial ULV insecticide applications insect control will be equal or better than with conventional spray combinations.
