A Survey of Sugar and Sticky Cotton Test Methods

Henry H. Perkins, Jr.

ABSTRACT

Cotton stickiness is an international problem for cotton. The major cause of stickiness is honeydew contamination from aphids and whiteflies. Effective test methods for both cotton sugar content and cotton stickiness are required tools for effective evaluation and control of the problem. Available test methods are reviewed and evaluated.
