Non-Traditional Funding Approaches for Research and Demonstration Projects

M.L. Smith and J.W. Laird

ABSTRACT

The funding approach for the belt conveyor-dryer installed at Terry County Coop Gin is described. This approach was through the state of Texas Governor's Energy Office (GEO). Funding through an agency such as the GEO has differences with funding sources such as industrial and governmental funding agencies. Aspects of funding through an agency that is not in the traditional mainstream of agricultural project funding sources are examined in this paper.
