The Economics of High Frequency Irrigation in Cotton Production

Rodney Foster and Eduardo Segarra

ABSTRACT

In this study, the economic feasibility of converting from low frequency LEPA irrigation to high frequency LEPA irrigation in cotton production is evaluated. Overall, it was found that the irrigation practice conversion is economically feasible. Benefit-cost ratios of the conversion revealed that a long-run increase in net returns would be expected.
