ABSTRACT

In a recent study of working environments in textile mills, endotoxins were most abundant in the cotton industry but significant amounts were also found in the air of a wool mill. The relationships of environmental microbial flora and endotoxins to respiratory symptoms in the workforce of wool processing mills are examined in this paper and comparison is made with those found in the cotton industry.
