Integrated Management for Cotton Nematodes in the Mid-South and Southeastern U.S.

William S. Gazavay

ABSTRACT

Southern cotton belt states use similar measures to combat nematodes in cotton according to a recent survey of plant pathologists and nematologists from eleven southern states. Specific control procedures differed somewhat from state to state according to nematode pressure and growing conditions unique to individual states. Chemical control, use of nematode tolerant varieties and crop rotation were the most widely used means to control nematodes among the southern states.
