Rhone-Poulenc Ag Co. has been developing a new soil applied fungicide for cotton seedling disease control which has been named START(TM). Development of this product was initiated in 1989 as both a granular and sprayable product. Formulation development has resulted in production of a stable, quick release granule which provides efficacy equal to or better than the commercial standards. START(TM) 67WP and 15G formulations were evaluated in 1992 with positive results. A new START(TM) 60 WDG formulation will be evaluated in 1993.
