The cotton aphid, Aphis crossypii Glover, and the sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius), are two insects which have become major pests of cotton within the last 5-7 years and which are currently resistant to most available insecticides. Suggestions for biological, chemical, and cultural control of both pests are presented in an attempt to improve resistance management. |
