Comparative Effect of Nematicides for Controlling Reniform Nematodes in Cotton

W.B. Gazavay, Dru Rush, Olin Farrior, and Rodrigo Rodriguez-Kabana

ABSTRACT

Field trials conducted in two cotton fields in Escambia county, AL over a three year period indicated that nematicides provided a profitable return when applied to fields heavily infested with reniform nematodes. Telone II (3 gal/a) injected preplant and Temik 15G (10 lb/a) applied in a band over the row at planting were the most cost effective treatments, returning profits of $84/acre and $91/acre, respectively.
