Leaf and Canopy Photosynthesis in Field-Grown in Ambient and Face Conditions

ABSTRACT

Measurements of canopy photosynthesis and transpiration were conducted in field-grown cotton in order to provide validation data for COTCo2, a mechanistic simulation model of cotton growth that incorporates the effects of elevated CO2. Measurements were made at Maricopa, AZ in three FACE (Free-Air Carbon dioxide Enrichment) plots (550 µl-l CO2) and in three control plots (350 µl l-1 CO2).
