ABSTRACT

In the summer of 1989 preliminary studies were conducted to measure xylem potential in cotton grown under ambient carbon dioxide as well as FACE environment. The pressure bomb and leaf psychrometer were used in order to compare the efficiency of each instrument and also to determine the changes in water status in cotton plants at different stages of growth and development.
