ABSTRACT

Recent advances in transformation technology has made it possible to produce cotton plants containing the Bt gene. These advances coupled with increased levels of gene expression has allowed us to produce cotton plants that are resistant to the boll worm. The increased levels of gene expression were achieved by making modifications to the coding sequence of the Bt gene.
