The Mass Fibrogram a Method for Increased Precision in Measuring Short Fiber Content and Uniformity Ratios with Scanning Instruments

Charles B. Landstreet, Catherine M. Waggoner and Gus N. Guggenheim

ABSTRACT

A combination of parameters from the Fibrogram were used to give a higher correlation between a particular uniformity ratio and per cent short fiber from array data than ever before observed. Experiments with mass fibrograms resulted in a technique easily adapted to Fibrographs and HVI lines that reflects the processing quality of cotton better than short fiber content.
