Novel Delivery Systems for Pesticides

J.R. Plimmer

ABSTRACT

Most pesticides are applied by conventional spray technology. This process is not only wasteful but also has potential for contamination of the environment. Contamination of groundwater and drift are major problems. Formulation and equipment design must provide solutions as well as providing effective control. Controlled-release formulations may be valuable and their use is increasing. Developments in biotechnology and integrated pest managements call for techniques to meet specific criteria for individual situations.
