Male tobacco budworm adults collected in pheromone traps near cotton fields in South Carolina exhibited low levels of resistance to cypermethrin in 1987. Resistance appeared to increase from June through August, while results in September were equivocal due to high control mortality in the test. Results were consistent with previous years in which South Carolinian populations were less resistant than those populations further west. |
