A Storm-Resistant Acala 1517 Cotton for New Mexico

N.R. Malm and C.E. Barnes

ABSTRACT

E945 is being recommended for release as a storm-resistant Acala 1517 variety for use in eastern New Mexico. Fiber quality in terms of length and strength is equal to picker Acala 15117 varieties. A good level of wilt tolerance is present. Yields have compared favorably with commercial storm-resistant varieties.
