Effect of Plant Growth Regulators in West Texas

Charles Stickler

ABSTRACT

Although Pix, (sepiquat chloride) and burst (eytokinin) have been used extensively in some cotton production areas, their applicability to cotton grown in the southwestern desert of Texas is limited. Inputs of water and fertilizer dictate the use of Pix while increases in yield from the use of Burst have not been economically important.
