Pix (Mepiquat Chloride), Multiple Applications, New Label Summary

Larry Wilde, Charles Finley, Leslie Lloyd, and Wade Stewart

ABSTRACT

Boll set, final plant height and yield were evaluated in production fields in TN, MS, AR, LA, and TX in the years 1984-1987. Multiple applications of PIX (2.5 to 5 grams per acre, applied starting at match head square) provided higher boll counts and higher yields than did the untreated cotton. This work has culminated in a new multiple label for PIX applications in cotton.
