Modeling of insect activity and population dynamics in agroecosystems, including those of cotton, is discussed. Maxwell-Boltzmann and Bose-Einstein statistics are addressed in relation to immigration models. The use of Bose-Einstein statistics is supported as a basis for immigration modeling with empirical data collected from fields of cotton and oats. Related computer simulation programs and results are presented. |
