Subsoiling Depth Decision Model - Experience During Dry Year

T.H. Garner, H.L. Musen, A. Khalilian, and M.J. Sullivan

ABSTRACT

Large plots 32 rows wide x 120 feet long were used to evaluate the effects on cotton yield of subsoiling depth as related to measured depths to the B soil-horizon. Although yield differences were non significant statistically, there were indications that subsoiling too shallow may do more harm than good. Drought conditions may have significantly influenced results.
