ABSTRACT

The prediction of yarn strength based on the three-stage procedure and assumption of fiber strength distribution of the Weibull type is compared with the empirical Solovev model. The predictive ability is compared with USTER Statistics. The sensitivity of both models to the relative variation of input data is estimated.
