Politics and Election 2012: A Look into the Future

alex castellanos Alex Castellanos is one of the Republican party’s best known and most successful media consultants and strategists, having enjoyed more than two decades of political consulting experience, both abroad and in the United States. Credited with the discovery of the political "soccer-mom" and called "father of the attack ad,” he served as media consultant to seven U.S. presidential campaigns, including the "John McCain for President Ad Council.” He was a key creative member to the Bush-Cheney 2000 and 2004 campaigns and currently is a senior strategist for the "Romney for President" campaign. He also helped to elect nine U.S. senators and six governors. Castellanos brings a wealth of campaign strategy, public opinion research and communications experience to corporate communications and public policy campaigns. In 2008, he was honored as a Fellow at the Institute of Politics at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In addition to being an integral part of CNN’s “Best Political Team on Television,” Castellanos offers his analysis regularly on such media outlets as The Huffington Post, NationalReview.com and CNN.com.

Jim Shultz currently serves as the director of Leadership Development for Grad Resources, a national faith-based organization that seeks to minister to and support graduate students around the country. Additionally, after losing 109 lbs. in one year and successfully completing the Chicago Marathon, he was selected to serve as a national spokesperson for Weight Watchers Online. He was recently featured in two nationally-aired television commercials and on the cover of Weight Watchers magazine. Rev. Shultz is a pastor and teacher at heart, having served in church ministry for more than 12 years. He has trained countless leaders and pastors and has lectured to undergraduate and graduate students in areas such as philosophy, theology, and apologetics at colleges and universities all over the United States, including University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Oklahoma, Bowling Green State University and Texas A&M University. After receiving honors in his Masters of Divinity studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Rev. Shultz began his Doctorate of Ministry at Biola University's Talbot School of Theology. He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, Society of Christian Philosophers and Evangelical Philosophical Society.
