Climate Variability was the topic Georgia Producer, Ronnie Lee was asked to speak about at an Agriculture Landscapes Forum, which was the last of six regional hearings conducted by the Farm Foundation on behalf of the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Lee relayed his experiences with conservation programs, pointing out aspects that worked well and some provisions and policies that needed improvement.

Lee says they have always participated in the Environmental Quality Incentives Program or EQUIP.

Lee says farmers are the number one conservationists and to make all of these projects happen through NRCS there must be funding. He also notes that agriculture cannot grow without Ag Research and the funding there is also very important.
