Last week, the House Committee on Agriculture held a markup on the Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2011 (H.R. 872).

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 2 cuts.  Both cuts are Keith Menchey, Manager of Science and Environmental issues for the National Cotton Council.

Last week, the House Committee on Agriculture held a markup on the Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2011 (H.R. 872). Keith Menchey, Manager of Science and Environmental issues for the National Cotton Council, says the bill will amend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and the Clean Water Act (CWA) to exempt pesticides used according to the label from the need for CWA permits.

Suggested Introduction 2:
Menchey says the bill passed the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on a vote of 46 to 8 on Wednesday.
