The National Cotton Council just completed this year’s Southeast Producer Information Exchange Program or PIE Tour. 

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Mid-South Producers who participated in the Southeast Producer Information Exchange Program.

Suggested Introduction 1:
The National Cotton Council just completed this year’s Southeast Producer Information Exchange Program or PIE Tour.   Select producers from the Mid-South traveled to both North and South Carolina to observe operations of their peers.  Producer Dustin Jackson from Seenith, MO says the PIE Tour was a great opportunity to visit with producers in a different region.

Graham Hollister with CoCo Planting and Avon Gin Company in Avon, Mississippi enjoyed seeing the diversification of the farmers in the Southeast.

Suggested Introduction 3:
Dan Arant with Lindamood Planting Company and Phoenix Gin Company in Tiptonville, TN says producers in the Southeast have different problems than what he deals with at home.

Suggested Conclusion:
The producers who participated in the tour look forward to improving their operations from the new perspectives they gained from the Southeast Region
