This week President Obama announced his proposed program changes for fiscal year 2010. According to Dr. Mark Lange, President and CEO of the National Cotton Council, President Obama’s proposed budget for USDA fails to recognize the work recently completed by Congress on the 2008 Farm Bill.

Lange says the proposal also notes reducing the spending under the Market Access Program.

According to Lange, so far all the things that the President has proposed are part of farm legislation.
