Last week USDA announced the release of the regulations necessary to implement the new farm law’s cotton program provisions.  Robbie Minnich, Senior Government Relations Representative for the National Cotton Council says on October 31st the calculation of the adjusted world price or A.W.P. was changed to maximize the competitiveness of US Cotton in both domestic and international markets.

Suggested introduction cut 2:
Minnich says the new law mandates that USDA make storage credits available whenever the adjusted world price is below the loan.
