Cotton Incorporated and The Missouri State Support Committee funded a project to evaluate genotypic variation in early vigor of cotton. Felix Fritschi, Assistant Professor of Crop Physiology for the University of Missouri says they are trying to identify cotton genotypes that provide early vigor.

Fritschi says the goal is to identify the best germplasm and pass it on to the cotton breeders.

According to Fritschi this is a three year project.
