The Arkansas Boll Weevil Eradication Program was started in the fall of 1997 in the southwest counties. Danny Keiser, Executive Director for the program gives an update on eradication.

Last spring a large portion of the boll weevil populations were found in an isolated area of the delta zone. According to Keiser a more aggressive approach was used with great success.

Keiser says they gained two years of progress in one year with this aggressive approach.
