This week’s Cotton Newsline is 4 cuts. All cuts are Allen Terhaar, Executive Director of Cotton Council International.

Cotton Council International works along side the National Cotton Council to promote U.S. cotton in the international markets. Allen Terhaar, Executive Director for the organization says the COTTON USA program is focused on two levels - increasing U.S. cotton’s share and the creating demand for cotton versus synthetic fibers.

According to Terhaar, Cotton Council International works very closely with more than 500 partners around the world through the COTTON USA program.
Suggested introduction cut 3:
Terhaar says they are also working on a Generic Cotton program to create demand of cotton versus synthetic fibers.
Suggested introduction cut 4:
For the Generic Cotton program, Terhaar says they do not insist those products contain U.S. cotton.
