Researchers across the Cotton Belt have been trying to determine the impact plant bug numbers have on cotton yield.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Dr. Scott Stewart, Cotton Integrated Pest Management Specialist for the University of Tennessee.

Tarnished Plant Bugs are not a new pest to cotton producers. But with the boll weevil close to eradication and the introduction of B.t. technology, Dr Scott Stewart, Cotton Integrated Pest Management Specialist for the University of Tennessee says the status of this pest has been elevated over the last ten years.

Stewart says there are several methods for scouting plant bugs.
