This week’s Cotton Newsline is 2 cuts. All cuts are Robbie Minnich (pronounced Men-ic), Senior Government Relations Representative for the National Cotton Council.
Suggested introduction cut 1:
Last week Senator Chuck Grassley from Iowa and Senator Byron Dorgan from North Dakota introduced an amendment to the budget resolution. According to Robbie Minnich, Senior Government Relations Representative for the National Cotton Council, the amendment would direct the Ag Budget Committee to find $1.1 billion in savings and over 10 years redirected those savings to renewable energy and nutrition programs.

Minnich says Senators Blanche Lincoln and Saxby Chambliss worked with their respective colleagues – as they did in 2005 – to urge rejection of the amendment.
