Beginning in 2007, on a voluntary basis, all approved manufacturers of bale packaging materials and importers of burlap will have to provide a Certificate of Analysis to users of their packaging products when requested.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Lee Tiller, Chairman of the Joint Cotton Industry Bale Packaging Committee.

Suggested introduction cut 1:

Beginning in 2007, on a voluntary basis, all approved manufacturers of bale packaging materials and importers of burlap will have to provide a Certificate of Analysis to users of their packaging products when requested. According to Lee Tiller, Chairman of the Joint Cotton Industry Bale Packaging Committee, beginning in 2008, a complete and accurate Certificate of Analysis shall be made available to the packaging material user for each pallet, bundle or other applicable unit.

Suggested introduction cut 2:

According to Tiller the bale packaging specifications were agreed upon by the bale packaging committee in conjunction with USDA and approved manufacturers.

Tiller says a quality bale for the end user is the goal.
